Zachary and Jacob love our community where they play many of the sports which are offered here. They both play soccer, lacrosse and basketball (we have a basketball hoop outside our house). During the summer, we enjoy playing tennis, golf and swimming at our nearby pool club. We also enjoy bike riding, taking our dog for walks and going to the town’s playgrounds when the weather is nice. We have a spacious backyard to run around in, where we play baseball and have ball catches together. During the winter, we go sledding on the hill in our backyard, and enjoy playing in the snow. Zachary and Jacob also take music lessons. Jake plays the electric guitar and Zack plays the drums!
We love to travel! Before Zachary and Jacob were born, we took several wonderful, memorable trips. Our first trip together, when we were dating, was skiing in Vermont with friends. That was Karen’s first time skiing, and it was the start of many more wonderful vacations to enjoy together. We also did many nearby weekend trips, including Newport, Rhode Island; Maine Conneticut and nearby beach areas. Our honeymoon to Italy was a perfect trip, where we enjoyed the culture, beaches and delicious food. We also went to Hawaii, a nice relaxing vacation.
As a family, we have continued to enjoy traveling. Zack and Jacob, as well as us, had a wonderful time in Arizona with Karen’s family and also in Nevada with Michael’s family. A big part of our yearly trips include visiting Karen’s family, since they do not live nearby. Every December, we visit Karen’s parents in Miami, Florida, and her sister Sheryl joins us with their family. Every winter or spring, we go to Disney World or Universal, and Karen’s parents meet us there. Every summer, we also visit Karen’s sister with her family in Michigan at their summer home. We plan to continue visiting different areas of the world.
